We are delighted to announce that Ashgate Hospicecare has been shortlisted in two categories for the Third Sector Awards 2021.
The categories are Best Use of Social Media and Communications Team of the Year. The shortlist was announced on 22nd July.
This follows 18 months of intense activity at Ashgate, during which time the hospice has been caring for end-of-life COVID positive patients and campaigning for increased funding from local health budgets.
These awards in particular are in recognition of the public advocacy campaigning work the hospice did to safeguard vital services and jobs.
Barbara-Anne Walker, Chief Executive at Ashgate Hospicecare, said: “For Ashgate to be shortlisted for two awards that focus on our communications is a huge achievement, especially after the challenges of the past 18 months. It’s a recognition that with creativity and vision we can change society’s understanding of hospice care and the vital role we play in the broader health and care system.”
Winners will be announced on 17th September, and we’ve got everything crossed!
