Congratulations and a big thank you to Margaret Philpot who has now been volunteering in our Chesterfield shop for an incredible 25 years!

Margaret is one of our longest serving volunteers who started volunteering at Ashgate after her husband died in our care and originally helped on our Inpatient Unit where she read books to patients.

She said: “I began to volunteer up at the hospice after my husband was cared for by Ashgate, I just wanted to give something back and ensure the same level of care for other people.
