A unique open day where nurses will be able have an on-the-spot interview for their next job without having to apply in advance is taking place this month.
Ashgate Hospice is inviting healthcare professionals to learn more about working in end of life and palliative care at the recruitment day on Sunday 23rd April.
The Derbyshire charity is running its free-to-attend session from 1pm – 4pm at the hospice’s site in Old Brampton, Chesterfield.
Attendees will be able to interview on the day for the positions of Registered Nurse and Nursing Associate. Full-time, part-time and bank positions will be available.
The last open day in January saw the hospice welcome 10 new nurses to their team.
Director of People, Engagement and Performance at Ashgate, Matt Corbishley, added: “We’re looking forward to welcoming healthcare professionals to Ashgate later this month so they can find out more about the many benefits of working for the hospice.
“We are looking for Registered General Nurses and Nursing Associates to join our award-winning Inpatient Unit team to help deliver our outstanding palliative and end of life care.
“As part of a multi-disciplinary team, they will support patients and their families with complex symptom management and specialist treatments. No two days are the same but every day is rewarding!”
The open day comes in the wake of a national nursing shortage, which is impacting healthcare providers across the UK.
On the day, attendees will get the opportunity to speak to current nurses, the HR team and clinical leads to find out how rewarding a career at Ashgate can be. They will also be offered a tour of the Inpatient Unit and onsite facilities.
Anyone interested in attending must register their interest by ordering an e-ticket for the event in advance here.
Parking at the hospice is free and refreshments will be available on the day too.
If you would be interested in having an on-the-spot interview, please email hr@ashgatehospice.org.uk with your preferred time.
