The BIG thank you party is a family-friendly event, with free food and activities available. Held in the garden at our Old Brampton site, the party will also recognise staff and volunteers who live our values. There will be activities for children available on the day, so bring your family along and have fun!
Ashgate’s BIG Thank You party will be held on Sunday 18th June, from 2pm – 5pm in the garden at Old Brampton.
No. Although the party runs from 2pm – 5pm, there is no expectation of staying the entire time. You can drop by and leave whenever you’d like – it will just be great to see so many lovely faces there.
The party will be held in the garden at our Old Brampton site. The address is as follows: Ashgate Road, Ashgate, Old Brampton, Chesterfield, S42 7JD.
We want to thank you! Over the past couple of years, we have had to find different ways to honour our staff and volunteers, however, we feel like now is a good time to come together again to celebrate.
There will be lots of activities on the day for all ages!
Yes, we look forward to welcoming you and your families onsite. We have lots planned for our younger guests, including ride-on mini tractors, fancy dress, arts and crafts and giant outdoor games, such as connect 4 and chess.
There will be baby changing facilities available within the main hospice reception.
As the party is being held in the garden, the ground may be uneven. We ask those attending the party to wear sensible footwear.
The garden is wheelchair accessible via the ramped access at the side of the Day Hospice.
At the party, everyone will be welcomed with a free drink of either prosecco or juice. In addition, there will be cupcakes, traybakes and strawberries and cream available for free.
There will also be catering available for all of those with dietary requirements and food intolerances. Please make any dietary requirements known on the RSVP form so these can be catered for. The invitation, including this RSVP, will be sent out to all staff and volunteers who previously showed interest in attending the party by the beginning of May.
We are throwing this party using our own space, equipment and fantastic staff to keep costs as low as possible. The final cost will depend on the total numbers attending, but every penny spent will contribute to this being an inclusive event in line with our values, and a low-cost way of celebrating our staff and volunteers.
Although the party will be funded by the hospice, many of the items at the event will either be free or heavily discounted through our relationship with our supporters. Companies including Jacksons the Bakers and GW Price are donating the refreshments, meaning that these are free to you.
We will monitor the weather forecast in the lead up to the event. If high winds and extreme weather conditions are forecast, we will contact everyone who has RSVP’d with postponement or cancellation details.
If we are still able to hold the event, but not outside, the party will be moved into the Day Hospice. Although there may be some restrictions on the activities available, there will still be lots of fun things to do!
No, you will not be able to bring your dog to the BIG Thank You party.
