Entry is now closed and over 3,100 of you are set to take to the streets of Chesterfield in what will be our biggest ever Sparkle Night Walk!
We know lots of you have already been fundraising but there is still chance to smash our fundraising target, the easiest way to do this is by setting up a Just Giving page.
Here’s some information to help you on the night.
Please remember to wear your t-shirt and attach your walker number to the front or back of your t-shirt.
We are welcoming walkers to the Chesterfield Football Club Stadium from 7.30pm, the stage show gets underway straight away and there is lots to see and do before the walk sets off at 10pm.
Head to the Glitter Station to get Sparkle ready or our merchandise stall to grab some bits that will help you light up the night!
Please arrive by 9.30pm at the latest, you don’t want to miss the Zumba warm up!
Some roads are closed and diversions are in place so please allow additional time to travel. You can find information on road closures here

Parking is extremely limited so we are asking everyone to travel by other means where possible.
You can park free of charge at the Chesterfield Football Club Stadium and Asda/Iceland have kindly said you can use their car park which is just a short walk away. We cannot guarantee there is enough parking for everyone attending so please consider other options where possible.
Please think about what you need to bring with you, if you don’t need a bag then please don’t bring one. Our security team will be conducting a bag search upon arrival at the Event Village.
Sorry, no dogs except Guide Dogs are permitted at this event due to the large amount of people expected to attend, fireworks, loud music and entertainment.
Chester’s Den will be open before the walk starts selling a range of hot drinks, snacks and soft drinks.
When the walk gets underway you’ll be able to pick up bottled water, bananas and mars bars from our halfway point and we’ll be cheering you back over the finish line before handing you a hot drink and bacon sandwich (vegetarian alternatives are available), cold drinks available to purchase.
T-shirt and walker numbers are available to collect at our final collection day on Thursday 29 June at our Fundraising Hub, Unit 15 Storforth Lane Trading Estate, Hasland, Chesterfield, S41 0QD between 9am and 6pm. After this time you can collect them from the help desk at the Event Village.
Everyone taking part in the walk needs to have a walker number attached to the front or back of their t-shirt. If you have lost yours then please head to the help desk at the Event Village.
We are thankful to each and every one of you that fundraises for us, and we kindly ask that you bring any sponsor money in after the event. There are several options of how you can do this, they are the following:
If you are paying in your sponsor money in person, please bring your sponsor form(s) along with you. If you are paying in your sponsor money online, please ensure that you send any sponsorship forms to us so that we can claim Gift Aid on your donations. Gift Aid is an extra 25p on every pound you give, helping your donation go further. You can send your sponsorship forms to us via post to Fundraising, Ashgate Hospice, Ashgate Road, Old Brampton, Chesterfield, S42 7JD.
Everyone that raises over £80 and pays in their sponsorship money by Monday 31st July will be in with a chance of winning one of our Sparkle prizes!
