Why we need your support
Shopping with us or donating items for us to sell helps fund our compassionate care.
If the hustle and bustle of busy towns and cities is your thing, there are plenty of options to choose from just a short distance away. In Chesterfield, the town centre is home to high street names, a wealth of independents and of course the town’s famous outdoor market – one of the biggest open-air markets in the country.
If it’s a city you’re hoping to explore, Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham are all less than a 40-minute drive away.
Chesterfield in particular offers easy access to the M1 with junctions 29 and 29A just 10-minutes away.
Travelling on a train between Chesterfield Railway Station and London takes just two hours, and through trains are also available to/from Manchester, York, Birmingham, Bristol and Newcastle.
There are also railway stations in towns and villages across North Derbyshire including Bamford, Alfreton, Castleton, Matlock, Hathersage and more.
There is also an extensive local bus network across the district, with services to Sheffield, Worksop, Nottingham, Derby and the Peak District.
For qualifying positions, we will offer up to £5,000 to support you to relocate to the local area upon successful appointment.
Much of the beautiful Peak District lies here in North Derbyshire, right on our doorstep. You might call us biased but it really is one of the most unique and stunning locations in the UK!
