About the role  

As the Graphic Designer within the marketing and communications team, you will be joining Ashgate at an exciting time. With a new brand identity, you will support its implementation across the organisation including our care and retail settings. 

You will play a vital role in our high-performing marketing and communications team, and be working alongside all of our teams across the organisation, both clinical and non-clinical, on a wide range of projects, from digital fundraising appeals to workwear. 

The responsibilities include:  

  • Leading and managing design projects across the organisation 
  • Supporting our increased use of digital platforms to reach our target audiences 
  • Leading in the development of new and creative designs to promote our work 
  • Liaising with external companies 
  • Working to make our communications as accessible as possible, so more people can get the help they need 
  • Implementing our new brand identity and being a brand ambassador. 

 

Ashgate Hospice is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, although this role is able to be carried out remotely and will require limited travel to our sites based in North Derbyshire.

About you:  

You will have graphic design experience, experience designing for digital and social platforms, and confidence in leading design projects, managing your own workload and managing competing priorities. You will have impeccable attention to detail, as well as being very creative and interested in emerging design trends. 

Skills and experience required;  

  • At least two years graphic design experience 
  • Excellent design skills, with significant experience in print and digital design and photo-editing 
  • Excellent understand and experience of using Adobe software, particularly Illustrator InDesign 
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage your own workload.
