Why we need your support
Shopping with us or donating items for us to sell helps fund our compassionate care.
Jacksons The Bakers Ltd have been supporting Ashgate Hospice by providing beautiful fresh bread and cakes free of charge for many years. When Emmajane and Phil took over the company, they didn’t think twice about continuing the incredibly generous donation. Since 2017, they have provided over £19,000 worth of freshly baked delicious goodies.
Emmajane said: “We are really proud to support the hospice, the care they provide is outstanding and we are so pleased to play our part in helping them to continue to be there for our community. It is important to us at Jacksons that the team at Ashgate feel supported. Sending extra treats during the pandemic was our way of letting them know we were thinking of them during the toughest of times. We were also thrilled to support the Sparkle Night Walk, donating sausage rolls and flapjacks to all of the wonderful volunteers.”
Our Partnerships Fundraiser, Ali Ward-Foster, said: “The money Jacksons have saved the hospice has been able to be redirected to patient care, enabling our nurses to be there for patients throughout North Derbyshire when it matters most. Their support over the last two years, during the pandemic has been unwavering. Not only did they continue to provide the hospice with daily bread, they also sent cakes and treats, a caring gesture that was gratefully received by everyone at the hospice. We are so very grateful for all they have done and continue to do for Ashgate.”
