Ashgate Hospice’s Sparkle Night Walk is North Derbyshire’s biggest fundraising event of the year. It is a 10km walk around Chesterfield that will take place on Saturday 22nd June 2024, starting and finishing at Chesterfield Football Club! We are excited to make it even bigger and better in 2024!
You can sign up via our website www.ashgatehospice.org.uk/sparkle-night-walk or by calling the Fundraising Team on 01246 567250.
Your entry includes a pink event t-shirt, flashing bunny ears, halfway refreshments, a medal and bacon cob and hot drink at the finish line.
Unfortunately, children under 11 are not permitted to take part in this event (this also includes babies in pushchairs). Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
For those under the age of 11 why not take part in our Superhero Night Walk on Saturday 14th October
Sorry, no dogs except Guide Dogs are permitted at this event due to the large amount of people expected to attend, fireworks, loud music and entertainment.
We will be organising a number of t-shirt collections in May/ June 2024 where you can collect your t-shirt and walker number and buy sparkle merchandise, more information about these will be announced in due course.
You will collect your bunny ears on the night once you’ve arrived at Chesterfield Football Club.
It is a 10KM walk starting and finishing at Chesterfield Football Club, we look forward to announcing details about the 2024 route in the new year.
Yes, if you feel like you are unable to continue walking, please inform one of our marshals who can arrange for a support vehicle to come and collect you.
The event will finish once the last walkers have crossed the finish line; this is normally around 12.30am. You should allow between 90-120 minutes to complete the course depending on your walking speed.
