You are invited to light up the night for Ashgate Hospice on Saturday 27 June 2026 as you take on our iconic 10k Sparkle Night Walk to raise money for families across North Derbyshire.
Sign up today and receive a brilliant fundraising pack, with lots of tips to help you beat your fundraising target. You’ll also receive a pink Sparkle T-shirt and flashing bunny ears to wear on the night.
We rely on the generosity of our community to raise millions of pounds each year to help fund our specialist care. So, by taking part in this fantastic event, you’ll help us continue to be there for families when it matters most.

You will collect your bunny ears on the night once you’ve arrived at Chesterfield Football Club. If you have bunny ears from a previous event you can reuse and recycle, please bring these with you.
Yes, there will be a range of sparkly merchandise that you can purchase on the night, as well as the opportunity to visit our glitter station to add that final touch of sparkle. Cash and cards are accepted on stalls at the Event Village.
Yes, there will be toilets you are able to use at Chesterfield Football Club as well as on the A61 bypass, halfway point at Eastwood Park in Hasland and other locations along the route.
There will be snacks available to buy at Chesterfield Football Club before the walk starts. Water and snacks will be provided to all walkers at the halfway point with hot drinks and bacon rolls (or vegan alternative) being provided at the end of the walk.
We kindly ask that any litter is disposed of properly to help keep Chesterfield tidy.
Yes, if you feel like you are unable to continue walking, please inform one of our marshals who can arrange for a support vehicle to come and collect you.
Yes, St John Ambulance will be in attendance. I you require first aid, or believe another participant does, please inform your nearest marshal.
The event will finish once the last walkers have crossed the finish line; this is normally around 12.30am. You should allow between 90-120 minutes to complete the course depending on your walking speed.
We do still need volunteers to make this event possible, to cheer walkers on and help keep everyone safe. There are a variety of marshalling locations available out on the route. To sign up just complete this online form.
Please do not bring along your sponsor money on the night. We are thankful to each and every one of you that fundraises for us, and we kindly ask that you bring any sponsor money in after the event. There are several options of how you can do this, they are the following:
If you are paying in your sponsor money in person, please bring your sponsor form(s) along with you. If you are paying in your sponsor money online, please ensure that you send any sponsorship forms to us so that we can claim Gift Aid on your donations. Gift Aid is an extra 25p on every pound you give, helping your donation go further. You can send your sponsorship forms to us via post to Fundraising, Ashgate Hospice, Ashgate Road, Old Brampton, Chesterfield, S42 7JD.
